Chemical Compatibility

Chemical Compatibility

Material selection is critical. Choosing the right O-ring material for a specific application depends on a wide range of factors, including the media being sealed, operating temperature range, intended service life and more. KODA has developed an easy‑to‑use tool that allows you to identify the chemical compatibility of our most commonly used materials in just four simple steps.

Instructions:

Step 1: Select one or more chemical media.

Step 2: Review the compatibility ratings for our most commonly used O-ring materials.

Step 3: Click on the material name to view all available compounds of that material we offer.

Step 4: Click on the compound name to be directed to our online store and browse all products made with that compound.

Note: This tool is meant to be used for reference purposes only. Generalized o-ring compatibility information is believed to be accurate and reliable. However, KODA makes no warranty, expressed or implied, of actual performance in specific applications. It is the user’s responsibility to evaluate specific parts prior to use.
