As the shaft rotates, the rubber lip utilizes its elastic deformation to form a stable, dynamic oil film on the contact surface.   • Orientation: Install the seal in the correct direction. The sealing lip must face the fluid to be sealed (i.e., the lip faces the oil).

A: Compatibility depends on the rubber compound:

  • Standard NBR (Nitrile): Suitable for non-corrosive media such as mineral oils and water glycols.
