Do silicone O-rings stretch?Yes. Silicone O-rings are flexible elastomeric seals that can be stretched during installation, but flexibility does not mean unlimited elongation is acceptable. In an OEM sealing application, an O-ring that is stretched too far may look perfectly normal during assembly while its cross-section becomes smaller than intended. That reduction can decrease sealing squeeze, increase the risk of
